Chair
This chair and some other fabulous items were saved from a trash container, when the local elementary school was throwing away their oldest furniture. The chair is from the 50's, early 60's. I put the chair on my sofa with my fancy hat and scarf, which I will use one day, when the time is right. I took a picture and painted the oranges and added some effects in Gimp.

Very effective!
Hey that's great, love it!
You placed it on your couch -- I love that!
I love the fact that you placed it on a sofa, very interesting idea.
How clever, it looks great. I love the background and the oranges.
Love it!
you know what they say... one woman's trash is another's treasure! And this little chair certainly is a treasure. Nice illo!
Your work is fascinating!
Very cool! Love the texture and mood!
This is great! The colours give your image a surreal appeal - the oranges and hat ribbon bounce the eye to the chair - really well done!
I know it has no resemblance however my first thoughts were of one of my favorite artists, Vincent van Gogh. Love the background texture and warmth.

Tulee mieleen Kreeta. Kaikki tuoksut ja äänet. Suussa maistuu stifado. Ihanan flashbackin sait aikaiseksi. Kiitos ja kumarrus.

Shane, to talk about Vincent Van G. made me one proud lady. I must admit I admire Vincent's art a lot and he's a kin soul to me brain wise.
Kiitos Stipi !

Mulla on muuten profiilissa kaikki nykyiset blogit.
Moro !

Kiitti Susu, tuo oli kyllä jo kohteliaisuus ;-)) päätin jädä tänne ykkösgalleriaan, kun näyttää jo toimivan.
Wonderful photo illustration and effects. The colors and lighting are great.
Thank you Twisselman, appreciate your comment.
This turned out lovely!
That's a wonderful still life! I love the warm earthy tones, and I love all the vintage stuff I also really like your new avatar:>
Well done! Is beautiful illustration Katili.I've got discovered much things really beautiful in trash container.
I like this chair.
You are really creative! I love how it turned out to be. Your sofa created such a perfect background for the chair. Great job!
this is so wonderful...so warm and toasty....wow!
i love the hat. it is really great...thanks for the details
love your glasses too
I love the fact that it's a kid-sized chair that you salvaged (and made into a work of art). The digital elements add a lot to an already great photo...I love those bold, warm colors. Neat stuff!
So nice picture Katili, I like the warmth in it which gives the chair a little more old look....
I love the texture of your sofa!!!
Nice work as before!
Thank you everyone for your inspiring comments. The things at my home that are saved from trash actually make my home my own. Even the sofa cover behind this chair is saved from being thrown to garbage, and it was hand made (lace crocheting) by my late ex-mother-in-law. Imagine those months of knitting... But I will tell a story of that, too some day.
Whoopdee! Great illo love.
love
wow; loving the contrasting gold and black with the splash of orange. Someone viewing your site from the elementary school is saying... 'hey I want my stuff back; I had no idea they looked that good'
that's a really nice one!
Cool chair girl, good Ill.
this chair is alive!!!!
Love the mood in the illo, so warm, I can imagine a story behind this chair. nice work.
This is very cool. The pattern on the sofa is great.

thanks for dropping by my blog.. and btw, i love your poetry blog too!
Thanks atomicvelvetsigh !
this is a lovely thing, the colors-that wonderful caramel tone-so sublime
your chair on Mars is fun and clever-sharp work
I really enjoyed this! I took a double-take when you said it was on the couch. That made me laugh and enjoy it all the more.
Now I think you should put on that fancy hat and scarf and do something for Self Portrait Tuesday!
This is really cool. Awesome effects!!
Thanks Hardwax and Indigo. And thanks Jamie, also for a great idea, I got immediately inspired and started planning.
This is beautiful!! I absolutely LOVE the colors, and the texture on the scarf. Beautiful!!
